The Sounding of A Million Drums of Peace

On June 5, 2001, just hours after the birth of the seven foot, GrandMother Drum, The "Ring of Fire" World Tour was launched in conjunction with James Twyman's Million Steps for Peace March. During this four day, round-the-clock drumming vigil in Palmer, Alaska, Elders of the GrandMother Drum International Peace Project called forth the vision of Sounding A Million Drums of Peace. As Mother Earth and all her children awaken and heal at this amazing time on earth, the Sounding of A Million Drums of Peace was called forth to strengthen the heartbeat of Unconditional Love of humanity.

The oldest and most eternal sound we know is our own mothers heartbeat which is the echo of the heartbeat of her mother and her mother going back since time immemorial. This eternal beat is the song of our home, it's the song of who we are, it is the song of life. As we pulse Mother Earth with our drum heartbeat we renew and strengthen our love as the only answer and the only alchemy to heal ourselves and restore our Mother Earth to her Original Dream of Wholeness.
