Associate Producer/ Cinematography:
Gilbert Roetman
Big Dipper Productions

Gilbert was one of the first to recognize the sonic power and global potential of the work of the GrandMother Drum and donated countless hours to documenting its initial inception. Gilbert filmed the first moments in the tipi when the first strips of wood were laid upon the frame to build GrandMother Drum. Over the years, Gilbert has shown a deep love for the spiritual and for community and has documented in film the ancient wisdoms of indigenous peoples from all over the world as well as the contemporary leaders of the metaphysical movement including Drunvalo Melchizedek, Tom Kenyon, Gregg Braden, James Twyman, Andrew Harvey, and countless others. Cinematography: William Bacon III
Bill Bacon Productions

Bill Bacon has been making films since 1956. "I've been so fortunate," he says. "My camera's taken me all over the world." Early in his career, he worked 20 years on nature films for Walt Disney. He's filmed all over Alaska-from Barrow, way out in the Aleutians, to way down in Ketchikan. In 2000 he received the Alaska Filmmakers Award. He's done films in Tibet, China-and Vietnam. While an accomplished cinematographer, Bacon's attitude and hard working ethic earned him a highly regarded reputation. Even 40 years later, he continues to create award-winning films. Recently his work has turned the spotlight on Tibet. His film "Tibet Hope" picked up the Award for Excellence in the 2007 Accolade Competition. Known as the Grandfather of Alaskan Film, Bill Bacon's passion for filmmaking has benefited so many of us. Bill donated extensive time to filming the GrandMother Drum, gifting us some of our most spectacular footage in the film.
